River table

English ash, walnut and walnut burr veneer.

Commissioned by Spalding council as a gift to the town of Speyer in Germany to celebrate 40 years of the twinning of the two towns.

My design for the table symbolises the two river towns divided by water, yet brought together by a twinning ‘bridge’, the dovetailing of community spirit.
